Module 4 - Providing Peer Feedback and Posting a WebQuest

Objectives: To evaluate a peer's WebQuest and provide feedback.To post a WebQuest to Filamentality's website. To understand the strengths and weaknesses of Filamentality's site.

Directions Materials

Activity 1: Read your partner's WebQuest as if you were a student (or have the other educator you found read through your WebQuest if completing this course individually).

Activity 2: Re-read the first two pages of the Constructive Friends Feedback Form (from NCRTEC's Learning With Technology Course Resources). Then, give your feedback to your partner with answers to the following Feedback Form. Directions from Constructive Friends Feedback Form; Feedback Form
Activity 3: Revise WebQuests as needed using partner's feedback.

Activity 4: Read directions for posting WebQuests to Filamentality (WebQuest Steps). OR, view the Filamentality training video clips. Discuss any questions or concerns with your partner or group.

Directions for posting WebQuests

Activity 5: Post your WebQuest online at Filamentality.

Optional - Instead of posting your WebQuest to Filamentality, post it on your school's website (make it with a web page editor or export a Word document as html).

Activity 6: Additional questions to consider individually, with a partner, or with a team:

  • What are the benefits and drawbacks to using cooperative learning in a WebQuest?
  • What are the benefits and drawbacks to using non-web resources?
  • Ideally, how long should a WebQuest take for students to complete? Why?
